his top disciples in Toronto, London and Somerset. Over the years Jae has competed in National and International competitions

Centre now has over 50 young members.
Jae's background is in Sailing, Outdoor Pursuits and Performing Arts, he worked
with young people in all of these fields for over 10 years before focusing mainly on Tai Chi Chuan.
Jae Willis teaches 'Tai Chi for Kids' as well as for adults.
His classes are very popular, so much so that Jae cannot take on any new students at the present time - but places will
become available
(please contact Jae to enquire about booking a place upon his
'waiting lists')
Here is what Jae says about his 'Kids' classes
There are two age groups: 5 - 7
year olds and 8 - 12 year olds. For each age group there are beginners and intermediate classes. Students learn exercises, stretches, self defence applications, meditation and a variety of Tai Chi techniques both
solo and partner work. Also, students learn some Tai Chi Form (the Form is a series of movements strung together into a flowing
set). Many techniques and principles are taught through the medium of games. Although there are many games played in classes
for both age groups, there is a stronger emphasis in the younger group.
Absolutely no experience of Tai
Chi or other martial arts is necessary to join a beginners class.
Benefits include:
Improved
confidence and self esteem, co-ordination, physical & emotional balance, focus, relaxation and self control. The numbers
per class are limited to 10.
Information about Jae's adult classes,
Initially the main focus is
on learning the 108 Wu Style Standard Hand Form. The form is a series of movements and postures strung together into a flowing
set. It is the core of Tai Chi training.
Students also learn exercises
and stretches as well as some basic Chi Kung (breath work). The martial element to Tai Chi training is not overlooked even
at the early stages, though we don't focus too much on this aspect to begin with. However, continual reference to the martial
application of certain Forms will be made where useful and relevant. Once students have completed the Form they move towards
a stronger focus on other aspects such as Pushing Hands, more in-depth Chi Kung and Exercises, detailed Form refinement and
Applications. Later students may wish to learn Weapons Forms and techniques.
The Wu Style system includes
training in the Sabre (Dao), Sword (Jian), and Spear (Teung).
